The talented folks from the Rural 60 Plus art class will be showing their work later this month at The Eddy in Kakabeka Falls. Stop by on Thursday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to meet the artists; a reception with refreshments and snacks will be available. The artwork will remain on display through the month of May.
Diabetes Health Thunder Bay will be at the Centre from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on June 7 and again on October 4. Please call the clinic at 344-3422 to make an appointment.
It’s not too early to think about the 2017 Northwest Senior Games. In their 33rd year, the Games will run from June 6 to 9, offering those 55 years of age and older the opportunity to compete in over a dozen events from cribbage to bowling to golf. Registration will take place during the last week of May, and more details on this will follow in later posts.
And finally, a reminder that the annual General Meeting–including the election of board members–will take place at the Centre on Friday, April 21, following a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. In addition to a hot or cold dish, please remember to bring your own plate, cup and cutlery, and mark any dish that contains nuts.
