Weaving projects—large and small—can be accomplished in the loom room, which has 10 floor-model looms of various types and sizes, and 2 table looms. Completed projects include rugs; table cloths; blankets; hand, bath and tea towels; bags; shawls; and material for making clothing such as suits, jackets or ponchos. Rugs are made on the ”square on the floor” looms, but all other projects can be made on any loom.
For anyone interested in weaving or learning to weave, lessons are available on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Just call the Centre to arrange a time. Weaving supplies are available through the loom room if you don’t have your own.
